The ice symbolizes the lack of compassion, ruthlessness and unkindness. The ice itself is nevertheless perceived as beautiful and cold. As in various fairy tales about the ice princess or the snow queen, this cold heart must be thawed with love, and only the strongest wearers can do that.

  1. Inspired by Ukiyo-e

The new artwork series by Simon Rossow is derived from ukiyo-e painting. A traditional Japanese painting and printmaking. Basically the eastern counterpart to the dotting technique from the first artwork series “Day & Night Edition”.

Here we see a volcano high in the clouds – “Sky is the Limit”. One in the dawn and the other in the evening light. One cold as ice and the other hot turning the sky red.
